Welcome to Breaking Masks! To those who are familiar with the plot, and the specific places in the board, this is version two of an old forum called "Sinner's Grin". Yes, it's dead now, but I hope this will become more than that one had. Anyway, this is an original anime role play with a slight taste of both the sci-fi genre and the fantasy genre. Okay, not really sci-fi, but definitely fantasy.
To be honest, I don't really know what else to say besides have fun... Cliche, I know, but I don't care. :D
Please, don't steal anything. Don't steal the concept of the site, graphics or any skin that appears on here, unless you get permission from me, Usagi. If you do, I will immediately file a TOS violation, and I hope you end up eating shit. Or at least let karma take a whiz at you. Trust me, it can be a bitch. Anyway, the skin and graphics belong to Usagi; the concept of the site as well as the plot belongs to, again, Usagi, whilst the coding belongs to Studio Zero, Slightly Insane, and Proboards Support.
There may be probably about ten million other things I should be giving credit for, but I just can't think of anything else. If you stumble upon this site, and believe that you or someone else deserves to be credited, send a PM to the admin, Usagi, or just post in the Feedback board.
Anything that's important or noteworthy that you should know about the site is located in here. Remember, it is recommended reading everything in here before making a character.
All new things that concern the site that you, the member, should know about will be posted her. This includes regular updates, announcements, e-mails, and errors with the board. Be sure to check here regularly if you can.

Japan has become known for its large, flourishing advance in technology, and is deemed one of the smartest countries currently in the world. Inhabiting an island just east of Korea and China, the country has become known for its ports and docks as well as its technology. Because of the urge to advance further in technology, scientists have proceeded down the path of enlightenment, but since they've made a... breakthrough, strange things have been happening here.
Ah, yes, the large province known as England. Well, it's not a country than can match the technology furthering of Japan, but in the last few years, it has been known for one thing: it's incredibly supreme military. And although it's military is large and strong, most of the inhabitants of this area is safe.
The home of the brave; currently one of the many countries participating in a great deal of wars. They're military might not be as great as England's own, but like Japan, there are a great deal of strange happenings occurring here. It had started soon after a Japanese scientist's experiment seemed to 'backfire', which means that the science department in Japan must have something to do with it.
Russia is one of those exquisite countries that excel in most things. Whether it be forming a military, or advancing further in technology, they can do most of everything. But, asides from those two things, they are also known for the large amount of oils and natural gases, making this a country that most other countries want to trade with. But, do to all of these positive influences, this country as well as been plagued with strange occurrences.
Eradius is the capital country of this parallel universe, known mostly for its trading centers, ports, and the Royal Family that lives in its center. This country differs from the others because it is ruled under what is called a monarchy; with this government system, it rivals Universe One's England in government. The area is covered in lush, green terrain and a lot of hills and fields.
A smaller province, Lucynene has been proven to withhold the strongest, and most powerful military in all of the Parallel Universe. This country practically breeds fighting machines, and since it isn't a sexist country, it is quite often that you'll find a woman in the fighting ranks of its military. Differing greatly from Eradius' lush green landscape, Lucynene bears miles and miles of forests, only becoming a clearing every now and then to hold a city.
A country once known for its crops and military, it was the second largest country in all of the Parallel Universe, its own population rivaling that of Eradius' and its military rivaling Lucynene's. Several years ago, the other countries turned on Byziatand because of the damage it was doing to the environment and Earth; now all that stands there are broken down buildings - some still standing, barely. What used to be lush green meadows and paved roads, is now just dried up, dead earth bordering the ocean.
This is the place where anything can happen, trust me. Pigs could fly, Lucynene and Eradius could not be waging war on each other, who knows? Hell, everyone could be on the search for the supreme bagel for all we care. Anyway, this is an IC roleplaying board, but what happens in here doesn't affect the plot, so... let the poptarts and toaster strudel be friends.
NC-17 content. Be it a surplus of blood and gore, or dirty deeds done dirt cheap, this is the place for it. PM the admin for the password, if you can handle it.
